X Factor - Iron Man - End Of Year Report

An acquaintance of mine (I think friend is a bit of a strong word for this situation) is a really good singer. She entered to school X Factor contest and got through to the final which was on Wednesday. Myself and a lot of people who know her including my friends went to see it. I think I could have enjoyed it a bit more if I hadn't had to watch the rehearsals 4 times because 2 of my teachers were organising the event. Anyway, Rosie turned out to be surprisingly bad. One of the judges said she chose the wrong song, which I don't think was the case, I think she was just out of tune. Who knows why. Nerves maybe. Well besides, this girl won, which I'm afraid to say was pretty much a pity vote cos the techy guys put on the wrong backing track and so she had to keep coming on and off the stage. What I only found out afterwards, from my sister who was helping out, was that the girl who won's sister was also in the final, so when she was in the back room whilst her little sister was jumping on and off the stage, she started praying. Looks like it worked.

Earlier in the week, along with many other people in the school, I received a certificate for achieving a high amount of points that are awarded by teachers for good work. As an additional reward to this achievement, we all got to watch a film this morning. We were told it was a film that was in the cinemas at the moment. We were lied to. It turned out to be the film 'Iron Man'. I had seen this film in the cinemas months ago. Didn't turn out to be all that bad, I enjoyed missing the boring lessons and it made the day go quicker. However, I was crammed and squished into my very uncomfortable seat. Ended up with a very numb bum afterwards.

Finished period 5 10 minutes early to get my end of year report. Year 10's upwards get the privilege of written comments from each teacher apposed to just a grade. The majority of my comments were positive and my parents and myself were happy with my report.

Only got Monday and half of Tuesday left of school and then its summer holidays!! Woooo. Not going anywhere though. I'll be lucky to be able to go to wales for a weekend.
