Hi there. It appears I used up too much of my time to write a post yesterday, or more accurately, I couldn't be arsed to get off my arse.
But hey ho. I had a really good day. Well, school was shoddy. But I went to the cinema with my dad to see the film '21' and although we argued in the car on both the journey there and the journey back, the film was bloody brilliant. Its based on a true story about a group of people who use the technique, card counting, to win bucket loads of monies playing Blackjack, from casinos in Las Vegas. Ive been interested in this technique ever since it was introduced to me by Derren Brown in his 'Inside Your Mind' series. I since then read his book, 'Tricks of the Mind' and learnt more about the memory skills used in the technique and techniques similar to that of card counting. I have now, inspired from the film, decided to dedicate myself to the goal of learning how to count cards, and other Blackjack winning techniques. My only doubt is that after watching '21' lots and lots of other people will be thinking the same thing. So that's where my second goal comes in; I create a new technique to winning at blackjack.
A lot of work lays ahead of me. I'm excited.
My mum said she is worried about me. She said she thinks I'm going to turn into a criminal because I wanted to try out a technique I had seen Derren Brown perform on another one of his programmes. This technique resulted in winning money on a losing ticket at the dog races. I asked my dad if he would one day take me to a dog racing track where I could see if this trick would work. He agreed. However, when it came nearer to the date we had planned to go to the race track, my father said he wouldn't let me do it because it was stealing. Is it bobbins. Wanting to go and see a film about using a system to win money from a casino, which may I add, is perfectly legal, was my mums second reason for assuming I am this criminal in the making. That woman worries too much.
